A Yorkshire hill farmer on a visit to Liverpool finds a homeless boy on the streets. He takes him home to live as part of his family on the isolated Yorkshire moors where the boy forges an obsessive relationship with the farmer’s daughter. Starring James Howson and Kaya Scodelario.
Director’s Bio
Andrea Arnold was born in Dartford, England, and studied at the American Film Institute. She directed the short films Milk (98), Dog (01) and Wasp (03), which won the Academy Award® for best live-action short. Her feature films Red Road (06) and Fish Tank (09) both screened at the Festival. Wuthering Heights (11) is her latest film.
